In this month’s newsletter we highlight the following topics:

• Keeping workplaces safe as most COVID-19 restrictions are removed – Now the majority of the restrictions have been removed, workplaces will be busier than ever. This guidance from the HSE is constantly under review and changes when new guidance is released. So, if you are looking for the most up to date COVID-19 information, take a look.
• RIDDOR – Our second topic covers RIDDOR and the importance of reporting any incidents or accidents. We look at the recent case of R (HSE) V Paul Adams 2021. This case highlights the consequences of not complying with legislation.
• Health and Safety update on driving and riding for work – The HSE have published updated guidance due to the expansion of the ‘grey fleet’ economy. The guidance added that organisations have legal responsibilities for their employees’ health and safety, this should include driving for work which is often overlooked.
